Cut your potatoes into half inch pieces, toss with pepper, salt, and about one tablespoon of canola oil; bake in an oven for about 30 minutes at 400 degrees. Toss with rosemary, if you desire. Gently loosen and turn the fries with a spatula, then bake for a final 10 minutes. These can be eaten with ketchup just like French fries, but you won’t miss the deep-fried calories. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t start losing weight right away. A little trial and error will be necessary to find what works best for your body. You may have to change some things before you lose weight. Your goals need to be realistic. It is impossible to lose ten or more pounds in just a couple of days. So why make that your goal when it is so obviously unattainable? You’ll eventually have significant weight loss if you lose a few pounds per week. Stay with it!
